SGI Gulf also wishes to release a book titled “The World is Yours to Change”(in English & Arabic), selected essays written by Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, on 26 January 2007 (in English & Arabic). These meaningful essays were penned by Dr. Ikeda soon after the 9/11 attacks in the U.S.A. The World is Yours to Change is an appeal to people, especially youth, to have the courage to take positive action and make a difference. In a foreword, Mr. Ikeda states, "War is caused by people. It is therefore up to people whether or not we will create a world of peace. This is the challenge, indeed the mission, that has been entrusted to each individual--each young person, in particular--alive today. It is a challenge that goes to the very heart of civilization. And it is my sincere wish that each of you--as young people, as the rising generation--will meet this challenge with great energy and courage. There, indeed, I perceive the light of a limitless hope. It is with this immense sense of hope and expectation that I share with you this thought: The world is yours to change.
