They all grow, however, from a shared understanding of the inseparable linkages that exist between individual happiness and world peace leading to a global human family.

SGIGulf is a non-profit organisation committed to creating value in the areas of “Peace” through the medium of Education, Environment & Youth Welfare. The core activity of the organisation is to impart public information in the field of education, culture, peace and humanitarian relief. The focus is to hold educational seminars, exhibitions, conduct participative dialogues & forums to improve awareness about the environment and sound understanding of cultural diversities. Using these as positive mediums to encourage peace and also develop trust and friendship with the local communities.

“Education is the key to advancing the transition to more sustainable ways of living. Transformative education is needed: education that helps bring about the fundamental changes demanded by the challenges of sustainability. Accelerating progress towards sustainability depends on rekindling more caring relationships between humans and the natural world and facilitating the creative exploration of more environmentally and socially responsible forms of development. The Earth Charter provides a unique framework for developing educational programs and curricula aimed at transformative learning for a more just, sustainable and peaceful world” - The Earth Charter Initiative.

We at the Soka Gakkai International Gulf firmly believe in the philosophy of humanism”. This is reflected in action by the various tasks undertaken by the Earth Charter Initiative to which we our signatory. We believe that “education for peace is as important as peace itself”. Hence we have determined to play a more significant role in this area through medium of exhibitions, dialogues, training seminars and other educative initiatives.

Central to all our activities is the underlying understanding that the self-motivated inner change of a single individual positively affects the larger web of life.

We are committed to bring more of such educative exhibitions to the Middle East. We are also consulting the Earth Charter Secretariat (in Costa Rica) to launch training modules on the Earth Charter Principles, Sustainable Development, and Earth Charter as a Tool for improving Education and Planning Tool for societies. We are in the process of selecting relevant modules for this region.
